Overview
CiteGuardian is operated by AI-Regenesis Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales
(Company No. 16376961), with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU.
By accessing or using CiteGuardian (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").
If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering.
- By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your password and API keys.
- You must not share your account or API keys with any other person.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at bryan@ai-regenesis.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Service Description
CiteGuardian is an AI-powered citation verification service. It analyses claims in text, retrieves evidence from cited sources, and produces verdicts on whether each claim is supported by the evidence.
The Service is available via:
- Web application — paste text and sources for verification
- REST API — programmatic access for integration into your workflows
- Chrome extension — highlight and verify text in your browser
- Batch processing — verify multiple items at once
Credits & Billing
- Verifications cost 1–4 credits based on the number of claims extracted (1–5 claims = 1 credit, 6–10 = 2, 11–20 = 3, 21+ = 4).
- New accounts receive 5 free credits on signup.
- Additional credits are included with monthly subscription plans (Starter and Pro). All prices are in USD.
- If a verification fails due to a service error, credits are automatically refunded.
- Credits are non-transferable between accounts.
Subscriptions
- CiteGuardian offers monthly subscription plans: Free ($0), Starter ($19/month, 75 credits), and Pro ($49/month, 250 credits).
- Plan credits are included with your subscription and reset each billing cycle. Unused plan credits are lost on renewal.
- You can cancel at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- No partial refunds are given for unused portions of a billing period.
- Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. AI-Regenesis Ltd does not store your card details.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, or infringes on the rights of others.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or overload the Service beyond normal API usage.
- Circumvent rate limits, credit restrictions, or any other usage controls.
- Resell or redistribute the Service without prior written consent.
Intellectual Property
- The CiteGuardian service, including its software, design, and documentation, is the proprietary property of AI-Regenesis Ltd.
- Your content remains yours. You retain all rights to the text, sources, and other content you submit for verification.
- We do not claim ownership of your verification inputs or results.
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the verification service.
AI Disclaimer
Important: CiteGuardian uses AI models to produce verification verdicts. These verdicts are probabilistic assessments, not statements of absolute fact.
- CiteGuardian is a first-pass filter designed to catch weak evidence at scale. It is not a replacement for human judgment.
- Verdicts should not be treated as legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
- You are responsible for independently verifying any claims or evidence where accuracy is critical.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any verdict produced by the Service.
Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI-Regenesis Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.
- These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Termination
- You may close your account at any time by contacting us at bryan@ai-regenesis.com.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in abusive behaviour.
- Upon termination, you may request an export of your verification data. We will provide this within 30 days of your request.
- Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any purchased credits or subscription fees already paid.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email
at the address associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect
constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
